Compilation of Books brings together eight personal, historical, spiritual and philosophical works by Adam Wyborn. Through autobiography, family history, letters, poetry, Catholic reflection and practical wisdom, the collection explores love, marriage, family, faith, truth, character and reconciliation—inviting readers to consider life’s challenges through experience, reflection, hope and Christian faith.
The Eight Books
1. A Love Story — A deeply personal account of love, courtship, marriage, family and separation. Beginning with a reflection inspired by George Orwell’s 1984, the book develops into an autobiographical exploration of the author’s relationship, his understanding of sacramental marriage, the difficulties encountered along the way, and his continuing belief in love, forgiveness, truth and reconciliation.
2. Biography of Ken and Helen Wyborn — A family history celebrating the lives, experiences and legacy of Ken and Helen Wyborn. The biography follows their backgrounds, marriage, family life, challenges and achievements, with particular attention to Ken’s ingenuity, inventions and business ventures. It is also a son’s personal remembrance of the character and influence of his parents.
3. Letters for Consideration — A collection of reflective letters examining character, relationships, faith, philosophy, family and the human condition. Drawing upon personal experience alongside philosophical and Christian ideas, the letters encourage consideration of truth, responsibility, forgiveness and reconciliation while providing an intimate record of the author’s thoughts about those closest to him.
4. Poetry and Prose — An extensive collection of poetry, prose and spiritual reflection through which the author expresses thoughts that can sometimes be difficult to communicate in ordinary conversation. Love, suffering, humour, faith, family, reconciliation and personal truth recur throughout, alongside biblical passages and reflections upon Jesus and the Christian understanding of life.
5. Expression of Truth — Presented as “A Layperson’s Expression of Truth Inline With the Teaching of the Catholic Church,” this work considers love, life, family, morality and human relationships from the author’s Catholic perspective. It places Jesus, the Gospel and Christian understanding at the centre of a broader reflection on contemporary life, personal responsibility and spiritual truth.
6. Quotations from Historical Figures — A collection combining quotations from Catholic saints, Scripture and figures from other religious and historical traditions with the author’s own commentary. Written particularly with his children in mind, it turns memorable words into reflections on courage, faith, love, character, generosity and responsibility, and concludes with practical suggestions for charity and service.
7. Married for Life! — Written for the author’s daughters, this book presents his reflections upon marriage, fatherhood, separation, commitment and enduring love. Through poetry, personal testimony and Catholic spirituality, it explains why the author continues to place hope in the marriage covenant while expressing his love for his children and desire for healing and reconciliation.
8. Inspiration for a Young Man — A spiritually focused collection intended to encourage a young man toward a meaningful and principled life. Beginning with the question “What is the Meaning of Life?”, it explores love, God, personal potential and moral character through stories, biblical examples, poetry and reflection, encouraging courage, responsibility, wisdom, faith and purposeful living.
